Arsenal have received a monumental Declan Rice boost from a reporter close to West Ham co-owner David Sullivan as the Man City interest is confirmed.
There has been yet another development in the tussle between Arsenal and Manchester City for West Ham captain Declan Rice.
There has been a flurry of speculation over the last 48 hours as Arsenal and Man City battle for Hammers hero Rice.
Transfer reporters David Ornstein and Gianluca Di Marzio broke the news that Manchester City will imminently launch a bid to rival the Gunners for West Ham’s £100m man.
Ilkay Gundogan’s departure to Barcelona on a free transfer has sparked Pep Guardiola into action.

Then Sky Sports made a massive claim on Rice’s future yesterday, reporting that Man City had made a major breakthrough in the battle with Arsenal for Rice and were confident of a deal after West Ham talks.
Reporter Michael Bridge even stated on Sky Sports News at 12.04pm on Friday that he had been told the Rice deal is ‘approaching the end game’.
There has been yet another twist from a source very close to the top man at West Ham United, though.
Arsenal have received a monumental Rice boost from a reporter close to West Ham co-owner David Sullivan as the Man City interest is confirmed.
‘The player seems determined’
Hugh Southon, who is close with Hammers majority stakeholder Sullivan, has exclusively revealed his key source at West Ham says Rice ‘seems determined to move to Arsenal’ despite Man City’s interest.
“Manchester City have come in but the player seems determined to go to Arsenal,” the source told Claret and Hugh’s Southton.
That directly contradicts claims from Fabrizio Romano that Rice does not have his heart set solely on a move to Arsenal.
It will come as massive blow to Manchester City’s hopes. But whatever happens Arsenal will have to match City’s bid and payment terms to West Ham.
It goes without saying, though, that most Hammers supporters would much rather see their talisman move to the Etihad over the Emirates.
