Arsenal have been sent a new Premier League title prediction amid their battle with Manchester City and Liverpool

Arsenal have seen their Premier League title hopes take a significant hit with both Manchester City and Liverpool winning after their defeat to Bournemouth. The Gunners could have gone top, albeit briefly, had they secured maximum points at Vitality Stadium, but instead they suffered their first defeat of the 2024/25 season.

Goals from Ryan Christie and Justin Kluivert sealed the win for the Cherries after William Saliba was sent off in the first half. As a result of Arsenal dropping points, both Liverpool and Man City were in prime position to take advantage as they faced Chelsea and Wolves, respectively, on Sunday.

The reigning champions needed another last-gasp goal from John Stones to complete a comeback victory after Josko Gvardiol cancelled out Jorgen Strand Larsen’s early goal with a stunning strike. Later that afternoon, Liverpool won by the same scoreline with Curtis Jones bagging the winner in a chaotic clash at Anfield.

A Mohamed Salah penalty had put the hosts in front with VAR later overturning another spot-kick decision and Nicolas Jackson’s equaliser after it was initially ruled out through offside. Mikel Arteta’s side are now three points off Man City and four away from Liverpool before they welcome Arne Slot’s side to Emirates Stadium this Sunday.

Though it is still early days, those dropped points could prove costly with a SuperComputer, courtesy of CSDB.gg, predicting Arsenal will again be pipped to the title by Man City. A fifth consecutive league triumph has been suggested for Man City with data from the season so far seeing them backed to finish on 92 points.

Arsenal then follow on 91 points with Liverpool, despite the significant gap between themselves and the Gunners, down to end the campaign on 88 points. Meanwhile, Chelsea take the final Champions League spot with North London rivals Tottenham in fifth, Newcastle in sixth and Manchester United all the way down in tenth.

In just seven days’ time, that prediction could be very different with a win for Arsenal over Liverpool sure to get their title charge right back on track. Before that though, both teams must contest their third Champions League clash of the season so far.

While Arsenal host Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday evening, Liverpool travel to Germany the following day to take on RB Leipzig before again being away from against the Gunners just four days later.
