Arsenal midfielder Kai Havertz responded to Chelsea boos with blunt message after the 2-2 draw at Stamford bridge

Kai Havertz made his return to Stamford Bridge on Saturday for the first time since completing his £65million summer move to Arsenal.

The midfielder became Arsenal first signing of the 2023 summer transfer window in June and has become a regular figure in the Gunners’ midfield alongside Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard. The 24-year-old started six of the opening seven Premier League games this season, scoring only one goal.

After providing the assist for Gabriel Martinelli’s winner against Manchester City two weeks ago, Havertz was named on the bench once again for yesterday’s London derby.

Havertz was introduced alongside Trossard six minutes before the equalising goal. Sections of the Stamford Bridge faithful booed Havertz when he came on, although the general consensus of supporters on social media was that they weren’t going to do so after his famous 2021 Champions League final winner.

After the game, Kai havertz took to social media to post a blunt response to Saturday’s thriller. He posted an image of him on the ball with Marc Cucurella pressing him with no caption.

Havertz was one of many Arsenal players to post their thoughts on social media after the 2-2 draw. Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice both insisted they wanted more than a point whilst injured defender Jurrien Timber hailed his teammates for their “good comeback”.
