Jesus has been limited to only 17 Premier League starts this season due to a mixture of knee and hamstring issues and recent reports suggest the club would be willing to listen to offers for the 27-year-old.
A stop-start campaign on the injury front has yielded only eight goals from 33 appearances across all competitions but Jesus believes a full pre-season will help him get back to his best.
“This season has been tough – I missed pre-season, had surgery again and then had a couple more injuries,” he said.
“I’m doing my best to help the team, and hoping to stay fit so I can do a full pre-season this summer. Then it’s a different story.”
Arteta values Jesus highly and is said to view the Brazil international as having the ability to become a 20-goal-a-sesaon striker. Still, Arsenal are believed to be drawing up plans ahead of next season and manager Mikel Arteta is thought to be keen to bring in added firepower.
RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko is on their radar, although both Manchester United and Chelsea retain an interest in the striker.
