Jurrien Timber is set to return to action for Arsenal after the international break in what is a huge boost for Mikel Arteta.

The Dutchman had impressed on his debut for Arsenal before suffering an ACL injury against Nottingham Forest on the opening day of the season. It was a cruel blow for the Gunners and Jurrien Timber at the time, particularly after the defender caught the eye during pre-season.

The 22-year-old hasn’t featured since but Mikel Arteta did reveal that he returned to training last month.

Journalist Kaya Kaynak took to X on Tuesday morning and shared the latest on Timber’s fitness.

He wrote: “Barring any setbacks Jurrien Timber is set to return for AFC after the international break.”
