Mikel Arteta has been getting plenty of praise after leading his Arsenal side to a win over Liverpool yesterday, with David Seaman the latest to offer his thoughts.

Arteta looked on as his team dominated the Reds in the opening 45 minutes only to come into the half-time break level.

But Arsenal kept going and after Gabriel Martinelli capitalised on a mistake from Virgil van Dijk, the Gunners put the game to bed with a third goal from Leandro Trossard.

And speaking on his latest Seaman Says podcast tonight, former Gunner David Seaman has said that the Arsenal boss deserves huge credit for selecting Jorginho in midfield.

Speaking on Seaman Says, the former England goalie credited with Arteta for what he called a ‘masterstroke’ in picking Jorginho.

“It was brilliant and you’ve got to give Arteta credit too for the team selection he put out. Putting Jorginho in there with Declan Rice I thought it was a masterstroke. He knew that Liverpool were going to be strong in there and he set up and Arsenal won that battle. The way they started was brilliant,” Seaman said.
