Mikel Arteta will be hoping all of his Arsenal players currently out on international duty return to the club fully fit ahead of the Premier League clash against Brentford.

The Gunners will resume their title challenge this weekend and Arteta could welcome back some key players to his starting XI

Martin Odegaard withdrew from Norway duty to focus on his recovery from a hip injury that had kept him sidelined since the Carabao Cup defeat against West Ham. The Arsenal captain was assessed at London Colney last week and looks set to be involved against the Bees in some capacity.

Gabriel Jesus has returned to training after suffering from a hamstring injury that has kept him out for nearly a month. The Brazilian striker was selected for international duty – despite Arteta’s preference for him to stay at the club to continue his recovery – and has been pictured taking part in Brazil training in the last few days.

Jesus looks set to be involved in Brazil’s World Cup qualifier against Argentina on Wednesday, November 22. Elsewhere, Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice avoided sustaining any injury issues whilst away on England duty in a huge double boost for the Gunners.

Saka and Rice have both been influential for Arsenal so far this season and will be crucial against Brentford if Arteta’s side are to take all three points at the Gtech Community Stadium. The Gunners duo came on as substitutes in the second half against Malta as England picked up a comfortable 2-0 win at Wembley.

Arteta will be happy to see both England stars return without any injuries as Arsenal look to continue their challenge for the Premier League title.
